Morehead and Rowan County are strategically located on Interstate 64 just 60 miles from Lexington Kentucky and Huntington West Virginia. Rowan County is the regional hub for employment, education, health care, dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities.  Rowan County, with a population of approximately 24,500, is located near the rustic Daniel Boone National Forest and pristine Cave Run Lake.  Rowan County is home of Morehead State University—ranked as one the best public universities in the south by U.S. News and World Reports—and the Rowan Campus of the Maysville Community and Technical College. The mission of the Morehead and Rowan County Economic Development Council, Inc. (EDC) is to coordinate all aspects of local economic growth. We serve the region by providing first class industrial properties at which businesses may develop and prosper.

Rowan County is home to one of a select few parks designated by the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development as a Regional Business/Industrial Park. The MMRC, a 509 acre park offers Class A-1 industrial property. The MMRC, located one mile from Interstate 64 offers level, flood-free acreage with truck accessibility and industrial infrastructure ready for developments of most sizes.

Another exciting option for expansion is the 64 acre business and aviation park located 1.5 miles from I-64 adjacent to the new Morehead-Rowan County Clyde A. Thomas Airport.  The airport features a 5,500 foot general aviation runway and T-hanger rentals.  This new property is ready for development and is a perfect location for aviation-related businesses.
